ACGME-aligned scholarship support for residents and fellows who need to meet scholarly activity requirements while building a fellowship-competitive or academic faculty-level portfolio. International Medical Graduates (IMGs) pursuing US residency benefit substantially from this track โ peer-reviewed publications and conference abstracts carry significant weight in residency program rankings, often distinguishing IMG applicants from the broader pool.
The Resident, IMG & Fellow Accelerator is designed for the unique time constraints and scholarly requirements of GME training. Working with physician-scientist mentors, trainees develop manuscripts from existing clinical datasets, meet ACGME scholarly activity documentation requirements, and build research portfolios competitive for fellowship applications and academic appointments.
Research output is one of the strongest differentiators in the US residency match. Programs use peer-reviewed publications, conference abstracts, and case reports as a proxy for academic potential โ and many top programs explicitly require or strongly weight research productivity. IMGs without US clinical experience can use scholarly output to demonstrate analytical rigor, English-language scientific communication, and engagement with the US research community. This track is structured to produce that output efficiently while you continue working clinically.
